                      The Butcher's Block

 

We are a classic butcher shop with a contemporary touch offering a comprehensive range of meat cuts and delicious home cooked deli treats.

 

We prepare from whole carcass sourced as local as possible using traditional methods of maturing to ensure best results for tenderness and flavour! This includes a Dry Aging cabinet for our premium beef cuts which regulates the temperature and humidity allowing the meat to tenderise but not over mature in flavour.

Since we opened in Jan 2016 along with our Dry Aged Steaks our reputation has grown hugely resulting in huge demand for our Artisan Sausages. We make Sausages 3-4 times a week on the premises and if you come in during the mornings you will even see these being made. Over the years we have gained recognition by winning a number of awards.

Since opening the shop our Deli offering has gone through some major changes. From home cooked hams, Award Winning homemade pies and ready meals to the hundreds of sausage rolls & scotch eggs, we then offered grew the counter to a significant food to go area selling ready made rolls and salads. Sadly in 2020 we had to remove the food to go counter but all of our cooked meats and savouries are still available from a dedicated chilled deli unit ad to ensure we did not loose the products that our regulars enjoyed so much in 2021 we opened up a separate shop - The Block Bakehouse - dedicated to producing all our deli items as well as adding new products.
